oh, that Auntie B.

do you have an Auntie B in your life?
everyone needs their own Auntie B.

here she is making some delicious muffins
with K.
i even got to pick up D from school
all by my lonesome.
that never happens.
and when i say never,
i mean never.

and look how adorably she dried the silicone baking cups!
seriously, she is a gift straight from God.

and my 8th memory verse for SSMT is:
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in him,
rooted and built up in him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7

as Easter is quickly (how did that happen?) approaching,

i'm finding them everywhere.

unfortunately, they're dust bunnies.

have a hoppy weekend!

half.

we celebrated K's half birthday this week.

well, actually auntie B did all the work
(no surprise there).

she brought the adorable cupcakes
(which she cut in half for the half birthday)
and a sweet little gift.

D and i were in charge of the singing.

picture me {im}perfectly.multi-tasking

(now if only my bathroom looked this bright and sparkly up close)

generally, my days are pretty fuzzy.

it's plain and simple.
i (try to) do
too many things at the same time.

what i convince myself that i'm doing
is getting a lot of things finished at the same time

where in reality
i am just slowing down the process
of completing even one task.

whether it's
drinking a cup of coffee (more on that later)

or driving

or reading

or thinking
(this could be an endless list).

if my body is not trying to complete another task,
my mind is.

but when i stop and just do one thing at a time,
my day becomes much more clear.

taking pictures doesn't count as doing
more than one thing at a time, right?
yeah, i didn't think so.

be sure to stop on by
my sweet friend, Raeanne's blog.
(isn't this a cute picture of the two of us?)
the post that she linked up last week really moved my heart.

picture me {im}perfectly
is a weekly project to reveal that we don't have it all together.

i will post a
picture me {im}perfectly
blog post every wednesday
where you will be able to link up to your blog
revealing that:

you are not picture perfect,
your kids are not picture perfect,
your house is not picture perfect,
your crafts are not always picture perfect,

let's
encourage,
inspire and
remind
other women
that none of us have it all together.

add my button to your blog post
and link up to your direct posting
and feel encouraged.

nakie baby.

a sweet friend of mine from CBS
was getting her credentials in massage for kiddos.
and she was kind enough to bless us with her five week class.

(i absolutely adore this shot)

you could say that now i am an expert.
well, L thinks so, at least.

he has been sleeping so much better with a bath
followed by a massage.
i just think he is trying to be
as high maintenance and time consuming as possible.
congratulations, L.
you are succeeding.

so, we (i.e. i) are now starting our
night-time routine promptly at 4:15pm.
yes, that is in 4:15 in the afternoon.
it's wild.
but it works.
and we all know us moms will do anything that works.

as you can see,
my delicious baby just adores to be in his diap (or nakie)
and have some mommy and L time.
