oh, christmas.

i haven't even begun 

looking at our christmas photos yet.

but i will soon.

and i of course 

will share them on my little blog

for you all to see the insanity 

which was our christmas this year.

but for now, 

here is our annual photo in front of the tree

(i try to print these out 

and put them as ornaments 

on our tree but i fear 

i am a couple of years behind

in doing that).  

He tends his flock like a shepherd: 
   He gathers the lambs in his arms 
and carries them close to his heart;

picture me {im}perfectly.nothing done

i am having a very difficult time getting

anything productive done.

i find the more children i have,

the less i actually accomplish 

from my to-do list 

throughout the day.

a sweet friend of mine recently asked me,

"when do you do anything else?

seriously, i'm asking."

and now i'm answering her:

"i don't."

while our little L has been sleeping

so

much

better

at night

(the Lord gets the praise on that one 

because i cannot take any credit for that)

his daytime naps have been 

shrinking into near oblivion.

which means my time to be productive 

is nearly non-existent these days.

and you may wonder what i do after 

the children are in bed at the end of the day?

my answer: absolutely nothing.

i do not have the energy to 

complete 

one.

more.

task.

once they're quietly in their beds.

maybe someday i will. 

(i sure hope so)

but these days, 

i'm just glad to make it to 7pm 

without falling apart.

i have given up doing 

a lot of things that i would like to

and i just try to at least accomplish 

all of the things that i need to get done. 

and even that's hard.

this little one.

this little one

never ceases to crack me up.

she says that if there's music playing,

she can't help herself but dance.

and boy is that true.

she's constantly teaching herself new dance moves

and showcases them whether we want to see

her millionth dance performance of the day or not.

she is the huggiest one we have.

always wanting one and always giving one.

even if her little brother isn't always

so accepting of the love pouring out of her.

i only wish that i had her amount of energy

to carry me through the day.

and she's not drinking a cup of coffee in the morning.

i promise.
